Walmart Requires Suppliers to Phase out Hazardous Chemicals: NGO Statements

Yesterday, the world's largest retailer Walmart announced a new policy to require manufacturers of cosmetics and cleaning products to disclose ingredients in their products and remove priority hazardous chemicals. The policy has huge implications for the many groups in the Workgroup for Safe Markets that are working to shift the market to safer chemicals and green chemistry.
